‘Swine Flu’ and the sky is falling in !

April 28, 2009 tonypinfold Comments off

So the media and governments have something to frighten the population of the world with ‘Swine Flu’, once again this is the end of world as we know it and aren’t we doing well for big doomsday stories…

breakdown of the world money markets ….check,

pandemic….check

global killing comet on it’s way…..check (But it might miss us on the first orbit)

world war 3…..Ok we are working on it.

I have to say that it’s enough to make a grown man cry, except this grown man really doesn’t care any more. For the one clear fact is that no one can escape physical death it is only around the corner. It’s been that way as long as I can remember and I’m sure one day in the next 40 years I will shuffle off this mortal coil. There is little that I have been able to do about that, in fact there is nothing anyone alive can do about it.

What makes me sad is that news like ‘swine flu’ destroys the quality of life we do have now. If tomorrow we all die because the planet wobbles of it’s axes let’s enjoy today. We have never been able to do very much about the future and knowing we have a pandemic around the corner is like knowing that at any minute we can have a stroke or a heart attack. It really doesn’t sever us or enhance humanity.

If we all agree that this pandemic will be the undoing of us what then? Panic buying, boarding up of windows, mass productions of home made weapons to defend ourselves from raping and pillaging mohawked punks,(yes I’ve seen Mad max as well), we know the end game. We’ve all seen the horror and sci-fi films. We all know the army and police end up shooting more of ‘us’ than they help, that the ‘US’ are always expendable.

The fact is there are too many of ‘us’ on this planet. We are like locusts destroying everything on mass. We have turned living creatures into sick and twisted sausage factories. We consume food without a care for how it comes about and then we are surprised when sickness spawns from our creations. We demand stuff to fill up our homes and lives, we demand power without a care for the consequence, as long as we don’t have to live by wind turbines that might blemish our views or power stations that my leak and kill us. We see no future, no jobs, no hope yet we continue to copulate and bring more innocent lives into this world we can’t really understand ourselves.

Stop and think hard…what really has man done for the planet and the universe beyond? What have we done to make us worth the saving? You know the answers nothing, we haven’t enhanced this planet one bit. We may point to the arts but what of it? It pales against what was already here. Yet we all expect the gods, the angels and the ET’S to turn up and help us out? Why?

This tired old planet must think what’s a few billion of them for a quieter life. As humans we are happy with half of the population or more dyeing out as long as we aren’t one of the billions that die. The truth hurts and the truth is you only worried about swine flu because it might get you. You can pass as many crocodile tears as you wish but inside I know you really don’t care, because no one does and at times that hurts you most.

So maybe the sky is falling in on our world ~Does it really matter?

How can this be a spiritual point of view? Where are the uttering’s of oneness and love that usually come from my blog. Where is the hope? Good question. It seems hope is not required, because tonight like sheep we will once again feed on the negative news on mass and the small voice in us that says this is not helpful this is not displaying our divine spirits will be anesthetised with a bottle of alcohol.  They say ‘You bring about what you think about’ …So welcome to your world.

You can change, you can be better, thinner, happier, friendlier, more loving more caring, right now – this very second, but can you really be bothered?

Is the world in a bad enough shape to start Challenging your perceptions? Start changing the ways things have always been done? or do you want more?

Underneath the Kingdom of the Ego is a perfect unblemished ray of light that is you, the real you, don’t you think it would be nice to explore that side? To try to make a better world in the time you have left no matter how long or short that may be. To be the hope and love you so desperately seek in others. What have you got to loose? ~In truth nothing because in no time at all your body will once again be dust.

It’s time … Wake up from this empty nightmare and try to become a person worth saving.

New look website and living with a Mac

April 20, 2009 tonypinfold Comments off

I have spent the last 3 days totally rebuilding my website with a new program rapidweaver, This is because of my move to a Apple Mac from a Pc and the  fact my old site was getting a little long in the tooth. I had been using FrontPage to build all my sites since 98 the program has always been much detested by webheads because of it’s ugly code. Personally I liked it because it was easy to use and I could create the site to look as I wanted it without having to understand any code really. Now days  I do know more about code and i have a greater understanding of how websites work. That said I’m still really not a great fan of website construction so I wanted a program that had a simple learning curve, would present a site in a clean easy to use fashion and have a few web innovations without the viewer having to keep installing plug ins or updating to the latest browsers. I also wanted to be able to tweak the program so I could get the site to look a little different from the generic template.

While I did have a few mental blocks in the construction of the site, it all went well but I also used a ftp program so I could move files around on the server and see them, which made my life easier,  I like to understand files structures sad I know, but I like to know how things work up to a point.
So the site is up and running, I would have to say that without the rapidweaver add-ons from yourhead software  the site would have been far from as easy to construct, in fact I’m not sure I could have built it in the way I wanted, so thank you Isaiah for your great work .

Mac update
I now have my mac up and running, the replacement mac did not have any problems with the screen, My old window programs are running on the mac via Fusion a program that lets you …well run windows on a mac basically. The only programs I’m running on windows  are Photoshop because I can’t justify the upgrade price from cs2 to cs4  for the way I work cs4 really offers me nothing new.
I’m also running window live writer which is how I write these blogs, Every one of the Mac blog writers I have looked at has fail to come close to live writer. Even those that see Microsoft as the spawn of all evil have to agree the perfection of live writer. Now if only Microsoft would bring out a mac version  it would make my life easier and also it would put the cat amongst the pigeons. I think any person who blogs and uses a mac would use it straight way and just swallow their pride. That’s it for what i’m using fusion for.
I have replaced Microsoft word with a free mac program called  OpenOffice which works very well for what I do. I guess ilife will be used to make my future slide shows and videos but as yet I haven’t really used that.
Any way enough of my computer related ramblings I will leave you today with my latest photographic image  ‘Sunday walk’ which you can located and buy in the sites gallery ‘peace’

I hope you like the new look of the site, I know I do.

have a great day
Tony
PS I just had to say that while I love the mac, the mouse that came with it was very frustrating (it was much more than that but I’m being polite ) it was replaced with a £4 usb mouse which work much better for someone coming from thousands of years of using a PC, On the upside I do love the mac keyboard.

I can see your Halo

April 15, 2009 tonypinfold Comments off

Your true light shines bright within you everyday and forever, you try to be something so much less than you really are but that’s ok so do we all. Whatever you may look like, say, think or do nothing comes close to what you really are, divine light hidden by lies. If i can just look through all that hate and anger, all that doubt and fear I know I can see your Halo, can you see mine?
Stop taking it all so personally and just Shine.

You are Divine Light,
You are loved
Enjoy

Taking the J out of Easter?

April 12, 2009 tonypinfold Comments off

Ok, so I never thought I be writing about Christianity, but the UK is becoming a moral waste land and a desert of ignorance regarding any belief system.

Its not a case of any faith will do, but even humanists are side lined by a soul-less vacuum of commercial greed, and media led fear. In biblical speak we are living in the den of thieves.

Does Simon Cowell stand as this generation’s speaker of wisdom? Who is sowing wisdom in this modern generation? Lilly Allen, Jade, Katy Price, Lady Gaga. I’m sure they do what they can but where is the depth. Not in our schools, that for sure as they are so PC and concerned with passing test that their breath of knowledge is twig like.

So we leave it to the one eyed monster in the corner of the room (TV) to give us something to feed societies under nourished brain. While I respect that we live in a multi faith society, I know my very own belief system defies description.

But today is Easter Sunday, and what does that mean to the UK? If it just means scoffing down chocolate then why call it Easter? Let’s put our money where our mouths are and call it ‘Willy Wonker Day’ or ‘Choco Sunday’. As I look for some programs to point to the reason why this holiday is here at all, I see nothing but Songs of Praise. Not even just a documentary on the religious message of the day. Shame on them all, especially the BBC who at least have some responsibility to educate the huddling masses. That, my friend, is what I’m talking about education not mass conversion. Even a program by Richard Dawkins (Self-styled slayer of Gods) lambasting the meaning of Easter would at least point to the reason of the day.

I do not wish to live in the past, but we must me aware of what happened and why we are the people we are today. The church can not save the world. We have tried that, it just ended in blood shed, persecution, dogma and fundamentalism. Every day kids, both military and civilian, are clueless of religion and face being collateral damage by terrorists who are motivated by a history of holy wars.

Ignorance is not bliss. Put the Jesus back into Easter or remove it totally from the calendar. This half baked clueless chocolate covered excuse for a holiday is a sham and pointless.

I have included some Youtube videos below just to fill the educational void left by TV. Yes is may be just a few clip from a pop rock play but anything is better than nothing until we make up our minds on what today really means.

Who would have thought the line from Jesus- “Forgive them, for they know not what they do…” would still be such perfect commentary on modern society.

Realization – New work

April 8, 2009 tonypinfold Comments off

I have just finished my latest visionary work and thought I’d post it here first before I put it on my main web site. It won’t be released yet as I have to check the print before putting up for sale. Realization is like one of those secret doors in a ghost film, it’s always there but it just blends into the background and then by chance one day it is discovered, and it takes you into a new room you never new existed. A Realization no matter how small is indeed a portal to often a new way of thinking and viewing the world that can change your life for ever.

Mind body and Spirit, Woodbridge 4th & 5th April

April 3, 2009 tonypinfold Comments off

So it’s Woodbridge MBS time again. This will be the third show I’ve attended with my work and every time it just gets better, while it may not be a big show as in floor space, it still has all the stands you expect at such an event. The effort Chris Cozens puts into this show is amazing hence why it’s in its 9th year. The event is always well signed posted (which many aren’t )and he does everything he can to make sure the event goes along as planned. This year we have  ”Live” music performances from  Lucinda Drayton of BLISS, It will be great to see her again. Also Keith (Shadow Hawk) Adams will be playing his  Native American flutes which he also makes. As you should expect from all such events there will be workshops which you can attend on the day should you wish. I hope you will drop by and have a chat, compared to other shows this has a much more relaxed feel to it which supports friendly dialog between like minded people. My good friends John von Nuding will be offering Numerology readings and Naomi aka Maddogg Designs will be selling her  Pagan gifts, cards, tarot cards, holistic gifts & crystals www.maddoggdesigns.com. Also Leeora’s offers the best Vegetarian Mediterranean food on the planet www.leeoravegetarianfood.co.uk.

For more info see Chris Cozens website http://www.lifearts.co.uk

See you there!

Spotify, music heaven on earth.

April 2, 2009 tonypinfold Comments off

I have to be honest and say I no longer have my finger firmly on the pulse of the latest computer and Internet breakthroughs, well at 42 I’m a virtual dinosaur ‘cor guv did you fight in the war against that bloke with the Moustache’ kids ask me all the time. Despite my senile state I still know and get excited at brilliant ideas when I see them or in this case hear one, may I introduce you to Spotify. Spotty what? you may be saying as I would have just 24 hours ago, Spotify as it says on their website ‘ A world of music Instant, simple and free’ Wow itunes it’s be nice but until you bat something back over the net Spotify is 2 sets up and it’s not even broken into a sweat.

If you have ever just wanted to have music your way then this my friend is the service for you go forth and sign up and enjoy unless you live in America as you can’t get it yet (oh rapture we get something first for once – I jest ) . While Spotify may not have every track in the world on it, I found very few things it didn’t have and in time the play list will become truly mega. Don’t panic this is not some illegal download site this is legit. As you should know I’m a bit of an old stickler for copyright law and people getting paid their dues. I believe this new website jukebox could in fact help save the music industry because 1st who will go through the whole process of stealing music if you can get it for free and 2nd it gives everyone the chance to expand their musical horizons without the risk of wasting cash and not liking I what they have brought. Obviously as the system is free it is advert driven but that is a small price to play for musical bliss and if like me you can see the brilliance of the site you can buy a £9.99 a month premium option that will opt you out of the adverts and send a message to the world this is what we want ‘choice’. I will no doubt sign up for this as I can see that a whole world of music for the price of one album is amazing value.

Also Its got to be a eco winner, because we have no need for crappy cases that break or those bloody CDs that we were told when they came out would ‘never scratch ’ (yeah what a lie that was) I can already hear landfills across the land cheering.

No more need for radio stations with there wafer thin playlist. Now it’s Tim wheater to lady gaga, dead can dance to the Bee Gees, Holst to Girls Aloud, can I think of any other combinations I’ve listen to in the last day oh yes smashing pumpkins to benny hills – Ernie.

This is the future, total musical freedom ‘thank god’ no more music critics advising us on what we should or shouldn’t buy, we can just click on something new and try it on for size.

I hope satellite companies like SKY are watching this and will soon get their fingers out and offer movies and programs on a real pay per view process, why should I pay out £40 + a month for a load of old junk when I could pick and pay just for what I want to watch . Once that happens I will be in entertainment nirvana. No more DVDs and cds cluttering up my house. Pure Entertainment zero mess.

The downside (sorry)

I know I know if you think this though to the endgame it means more and more shops closing, less and less jobs, fatter and fatter people as no one goes anywhere. Governments will love the idea of a totally controllable couch-potato population but will you? and we all know what David Icke will say ‘I told you so’. If you think it through more, unless governments intend to start culling people off as they did in ‘Logans run’ they better get a real birth control program up and running soon as what are all these new people going to do all day and how will we pay for a totally unemployed and unemployable population. Hmmm my entertainment heaven has just spelled the end of life as we know it ‘buggar’. Oh well maybe like in ‘The Matrix’ we can wire all the people on the couches up and use their energy to drive all the power stations hmm cool even more eco benefits, thank you Spotify

Thank god for Silliness
